Taste Kerry is an organisation that promotes food and drink throughout Kerry. They operate as an umbrella organisation where they offer support to cluster groups such as farmers markets and Food Festivals, Food Producers, Hotels and B&B’s and Restaurants, Cafes and Bars.
The Taste Kerry website not only provides details of the listed producers, it also provides listings on where one can get a truly authentic taste of Kerry. This is expressed in terms of accommodation listings, retail outlets, restaurant/bars/café outlets, cookery schools, information on Kerry Farmers Markets, information on food and drink festivals, food adventures and visitor ready experiences. Also incorporated into the Taste Kerry website are useful links to social media, wider events and other websites to find out everything about local food and drink within the region.
Recently, a new and up-dated Kerry Food and Drink Producer Directory and official Taste Kerry Website was launched. The directory lists over 150 producers in the areas of confectionery/baking, gluten-free baking, vegetables, honey, seafood and fish, meat products, dairy produce, organic produce, retail, drinks and vegetarian food within the Kerry region. The ultimate aim is to remind chefs, distributors, hotels, cafes, bars, restaurants, retailers and local consumers of the wealth of home-grown and home-produced produce that Kerry has to offer.
