The Town of Roscrea in County Tipperary is home to a number of fascinating monuments, such as a 13th-century castle, and St Cronan’s Church, cross and round tower.
Monaincha Church is found just 2.5km from the historic town of Roscrea, County Tipperary. It is situated on land that was once an island in a bog. The 12th-century church features a finely decorated doorway and a cancel arch made from sandstone.
St Cronan’s High Cross once stood in the graveyard of the nearby church of the same name, but has been moved to the Black Mills for conservation. The centre is located on Church Street in Roscrea, County Tipperary.
