War Memorial Gardens
Located adjacent to Phoenix Park in Dublin City, the War Memorial Gardens pay tribute to the 49,400 Irish soldiers who died in the war of 1914-1918.
The names of all the soldiers are contained in the illustrated Harry Clarke manuscripts in the granite book rooms of the War Memorial Gardens in Dublin.
The War Memorial Gardens are one of four gardens in the country designed by the famous architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944). Sunken rose gardens, herbaceous borders and extensive tree planting make for a pleasant visit in any season.
