Muckno Lodge is a charming five bed roomed newly renovated stone cottage located beside Lough Muckno, Castleblayney and the popular Concra Golf and Country Club. Muckno Lodge sleeps up to 10 guests with three double bedrooms and two twin rooms.
Muckno Lodge is situated beside the tranquil Lough Muckno, a favourite of keen anglers, and the renowned Concra Wood Golf and Country Club, near Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.
The main lodge can sleep up to 10 guests with one ensuite double bedroom, two double bedrooms, two twin rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and separate dining room and two living areas. There is also a newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage next door which can cater for an additional 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children. To the rear, an attractive patio area overlooks a private lake.
Although fully restored, Muckno Lodge has retained its original charm with features such as the original old stone exterior which has been restored to its original state and the Bath Estate Coat of Arms above the door. One of the most charming aspects of the accommodation however is the traditional open hearth fireplace featuring the old skillet pot hanging from a traditional old style crane which has been fully restored.
Muckno Lodge boasts a small lake, called the Black Lake, to the rear of the cottage, which is ideal for coarse fishing. Visitors will experience a little bit of Irish history during their stay, as Muckno Lodge was originally a game keeper’s cottage built on the Bath Estate in 1869 during the Plantations. For fishing and water sports enthusiasts there is also an outdoor drying room and storage facilities for wet gear and fishing bait.
Muckno Lodge is within close proximity to The Patrick Kavanagh Centre, Castle Leslie, Cabra Castle, Darver Castle and Roach Castle. Nearby activities include; fishing, golf, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding and quad biking.
