Over 40 years on from its initial 1977 cinematic release, Saturday Night Fever is still as thrilling and popular as it ever was.

Over 40 years on from its initial 1977 cinematic release, Saturday Night Fever is still as thrilling and popular as it ever was.

It was reimagined as a live music and dance spectacular first for the West End 20 years ago and has toured the globe relentlessly since. Theatre impresario Bill Kenwright revived it again in the UK earlier this year, and in September it will makes its way to Ireland when it lands at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre for a limited run.

The story tells the tale of Tony Manero and his thrilling and reckless attempts to escape his dead-end existence and achieve fame as a dancer in the heyday of disco in New York City.

The original soundtrack to the movie remains one of the most popular albums of all times, with the majority of the music being providing by The Bee Gees. It included timeless hits like Stayin’ Alive, More Than A Woman, and You Should Be Dancing amongst others.

All these classics tunes and many more are brought to live by the live show band, along with a spectacular display of choreography in what will be a night to remember for disco fans.
