Sea Mount B&B on the Wild Atlantic Way offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a renovated Old-Style Farmhouse on the Sheeps Head Way. Guests have unfettered views of sea and mountains as they relax in the heart of the Sheeps Head peninsula.
Sea Mount B&B is situated on the Goats Path scenic route of the Sheeps Head Peninsula - part of the Wild Atlantic Way, just 12 kilometres west of the town of Bantry, itself in the West of County Cork. Guests will be welcomed with hot tea, warm scones and home-made jam. Sea Mount B&B is famous for its hearty breakfasts. Sea Mount B&B makes a homely base for a walking holiday, and this welcoming farmhouse is an ideal location for a holiday spent walking the Sheeps Head Way, touring the Beara Peninsula, or visiting Mizen Head. The Goats Path scenic route of the Sheeps Head Peninsula is considered by many to be one of Ireland's best walks, and with stunning sunsets over Bantry Bay, it will be a visit to remember.
All of the bedrooms of Sea Mount B&B are comfortable and well appointed, decorated to a high standard and in a modern style. The pleasant garden even boasts some palm trees, a testament to the warming effects of the Atlantic Gulf Stream, which bathes this part of Irelands' Atlantic coastline. The garden has a rock feature dated as millions of years old.
The hosts, Charlie and Julia, are very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the Sheeps Head Peninsula and are happy to share their knowledge of the area with guests, or help plan walks and other activities during their stay. Historical and Archaeological information is available for guests who hold an interest. Walks can be advised to suit all abilities, and can be enjoyed either as self-guided or with an available walking guide. Packed lunches, and maps and available on request.
