Sandy Feet Farm is a brand new family-run open farm near the picturesque village of Camp on the main Tralee-Dingle Road, taking the Conor Pass route. The farm has been in the O’Shea family for more than 300 years so Roy and family thought it was time to share it with others.
Set in the most stunning location, surrounded by mountains and boarded by wetlands and a long, wide sandy beach, it has something for everyone that visits.
From meeting the various rare breed sheep, cows, alpacas, and pygmy goats, to mention a few, to exploring the farm, playing in the playground, or taking the tractor and trailer ride, to checking out the vintage machinery and eating in the cafe a full fun-filled day out is inevitable.
All that fun and fresh air can work up an appetite. The café, located at the entrance to the farm, serves freshly ground espresso based coffees, hot chocolate and teas. Healthy tasty food is on offer. The menu includes gourmet sandwiches, soups, and salads (with homemade dressings). The childrens menu also features healthy options – freshly made, baked wedges and goujons, home-made dips and pitta bread, and soup. All scones, breads and cakes are produced from a local award-winning baker who has agreed to supply two signature cakes exclusively to Sandy Feet Farm.
The desert range includes a divine Stout and Chocolate cake.
Entrance to the farm is not required to enjoy the café. Individuals, families, and groups are all welcome.
Those with special needs and reduced mobility are also welcome. Sensory toolkits are available on request. Eleanor is always happy to make visitors as welcome as possible so please contact her if you have any specific needs.
Sandy Feet Farm offers a great, fun school tour experience. Children receive a Sandy Feet Farm workbook so the learning can continue at home and at school. There is opportunity to hold small animals, such as rabbits, a party room where children can enjoy packed lunches, supervised childrens playground and toilet facilities.
