The North-West’s best Circus, Arts & Music Festival is back in St. Columb’s Park for the 11th year.
It has been two-hundred-and-fifty whole years since Circus landed on the planet. How exciting is that! And we are joining in with the Circus250 celebrations which are taking place all over Ireland and the UK, with lots of exciting surprises for you and your buddies.
This year promises to be the best yet with two Big Top Tents filled with lots of international circus shows including Tumble Circus, Two’s a Crowd, McFois, Granny Turismo, Circle of Two and our very own Fancy Pants Circus.
Out in the field you will be dazzled and regaled by our troupe of Circus 250 characters alongside the incredible Pauline Phitness, Borris and Gilbert Gottenstock.
If that doesn’t make it the greatest show, we will be treating you to a bunch of fantastic local musicians, an outdoor cinema showing circus movies, special workshops in aerial, acrobatics and graffiti art as well as circus skills, arts & crafts and storytelling workshops. We will have the peaceful fairy-door trail in the Fairy Garden, resident street artists painting the park, face painting and balloon modelling! We will also have a range of fantastic food stalls to keep hunger at bay.
Saturday night at Carnival of Colours will be a Stendhal and Celtronic takeover.
Transforming our beautiful big top tents into music stages and giving you major festival vibes. Get your wellies, sunglasses and (sustainable) glitter paint at the ready.Sunday night will feature a gorgeous and fun Family Cabaret with some snippets of what you will see over the weekend as well as some hilarious local acts and artists alongside our incredibly talented Circus Kid-lets!
