Art at The Park: Courses with Julie Douglas for adults in drawing, life drawing, portraiture, botanical painting, water colours, oils and landscape. Childrens classes and art for teenagers. Tailor-made painting weekends and weekly classes. Intensive Portfolio Courses for college entry. Something for everyone, in a beautiful studio with lovely views. Calm, relaxing and fun. Killanena is set in the rolling hills surrounding Lough Graney, a quiet, unspoilt corner off the tourist trail. Art at The Park is a tranquil, calm and creative environment. Once you leave the main road the countryside opens up and takes your breath away, surprising you with the gorgeous views. When you've parked the car and got out to take in the stillness, you'll know you've truly arrived. Art classes are small, friendly and relaxed. Julie is a gentle, encouraging teacher. You won't feel intimidated in her class, but instead, you'll be amazed at how good your own work is by the end of the day. You'll be inspired, motivated and feeling better about yourself. Art at The Park also offers a selection of courses with carefully chosen visiting tutors including papier mache workshops, basket weaving, photography and oil painting. This year we are delighted to offer some musical evenings too ('Music from the artists house'), featuring well known local musicians.
