A National Day for writers is a large-scale get-together for professional and emerging writers across Ireland hosted at the Irish Museum of Modern Art as a part of this year’s edition of International Literary Festival Dublin.

The day-long event is organised by Words Ireland, a recently formed organisation drawn from seven literary bodies around the country. The day will create an environment in which writers can get together and share the wisdom they have gathered and lessons they have learned from all parts of the profession.

That means there will be talks and discussions about dealing with process, time management, and writing techniques. There will also be parts which focus on the industry in terms of funding, pitching, publishing, and selling work, with 40 literature organisations in attendance also.

There are nine 50-minute events during the day, with a final keynote address, which is followed by free beers. A must-attend for writers up and down the country.
