Blacklion House is located at 31 An Bonnan Bui, Blacklion, County Cavan. They offer guests a modern, three bedroom comfortable home away from home experience.

Blacklion House is the perfect location for touring Cavan, Fermanagh or Leitrim. They welcome all for a family or angling holiday, Neven Maguire’s award winning MacNean House Restaurant is only a short stroll away.

Blacklion House includes three bedrooms. The ground floor consists of an entrance hall, living room, well equipped kitchen dining room, utility room and toilet. The living room has a television and fireplace with electric fire creating a relaxing ambience at the end of a busy day. Blacklion House also offers WiFi.

On the first floor, guests will find the bedrooms including master with ensuite as well as a family sized bathroom with shower. The house sleeps five people in total. Bed linen and towels are provided and the house is heated by gas fired central heating.

Outside in the back garden there is a shed offering lots of storage space for bicycles or angling equipment.

There are many walking trails nearby including Cavan Burren Park which offers four walking trails and 5,000 years of history. For the more energetic walker the Cuilcagh Mountain Way will prove a challenge. Claddagh Glen, Marlbank National Nature Reserve and the stunning Marble Arch Caves Geopark are located a short drive away.

Visit The Shannon Pot to see the source of the Shannon River before it becomes Ireland’s longest river and winds its way South Westwards to the sea.

Taking the N16 out of the village of Blacklion, younger members of the family will not feel left out as they discover the well equipped playground beside the Lough MacNean Boat Park.

For anglers, Lough MacNean offers the prospect of a relaxing day spent fishing. For those interested in genealogy, the Old Graveyard a short distance further along the N16, is a unique 12th Century Graveyard.

The Market House in the village is a visitor information centre which will assist with details of other activities, attractions and events which will help guests to enjoy their stay in Blacklion House.
