Brownlow House is Located in the centre of Lurgan adjacent to Lurgan Public Park, a grade A listed building open for viewing.

Built in the Elizabethan style Brownlow House stands impressively on the edge of Lurgan park Lake. With its imposing chimney stacks and ornamental Tower, it is a sight to behold. Built in 1833 By the Brownlow Family it boasts 52 chimneys and 365 rooms.

During World War 1 it was the HQ for the 16th Battalion Royal Irish Regiment, and during the Second World War it was The Headquarters for all the American troops based in Ireland, visited by General Eisenhower to finalise the D>Day Landings.

Today it hosts a superb World War 2 American museum, and a local World War 1 exhibition, with delightful tea rooms, it certainly is a place to visit, relax and enjoy.

The permanent exhiibtion contains a variety of information panels, videos, artefacts and interactive activities including dressing up for children.
