The Owenascaul River drains into Dingle Bay in County Kerry. It holds good stocks of grilse and sea trout which can be fished from June.
The Owenascaul River drains Lough Anascaul and flows through the town until it empties into Dingle Bay. Good fishing can be done here for catches of grilse and sea trout which are taken from June with the occasional salmon. Methods used here include fly and spin.
Fishing here is regarded at free, however enquiries can be obtained locally.
Open season for salmon is from 17 March until 30 September and sea trout is from 17 March to 12 October.
