The recipient of several awards, including a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for his services to music in 2016; the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Instrumentalist of the Year Award; two Edison Awards; three Gramophone Awards; the Diapason D'or de l'Année, and the South Bank Show Classical Music Award, Lewis is internationally renowned as one of the foremost musicians in contemporary classical music.
The first player in the history of the BBC Proms to perform the entirety of the Beethoven concertos in one season, he has gone on to play the great concert halls of the world to enormous acclaim. This February, he brings his recital series exploring connections between the sonatas of Haydn, the piano works of Brahms, and Beethoven's Bagatelles and Diabelli Variations to our fair city.
