Hilton Park is a welcoming family home where the combination of a beautiful setting, luxurious bedrooms, open fires and warm hospitality make for an unforgettable and romantic experience. It is magically situated on a 600 acre secluded private estate far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet easily accessible from both Belfast and Dublin. Hilton Park has been the home of the Madden family since 1734. The house feels like a grand country house, inviting and lived in and offering guests superb standards of bed and breakfast accommodation. The six bedrooms are all individually decorated each with an ensuite bathroom, antique baths and stunning views of the estate and County Monaghan countryside. The principal bedrooms have four poster beds, vast eight foot long windows with wonderful antique shutters. The house can also be rented exclusively for a unique occasion. Self-catering accommodation is also on offer at Hilton Park’s Gate Lodge which has been recently renovated to the highest standards of holiday rental accommodation in Ireland, with five star accreditation. There are so many things to do on Hilton’s 600 acres, from fishing on the lakes, taking a romantic boat trip or a wonderfully exhilarating fresh water swim, highly recommended as a refreshing tonic. Or just play a leisurely game of croquet on the lawn. The Madden family together provide luxury accommodation and an Irish cultural experience in a wonderful country house amongst paintings, furniture and heirlooms handed down over the centuries. Further afield there are historic houses to visit such as Florence Court and Gardens, natural landscapes such as the Marble Arch Caves as well as numerous old country pubs, art galleries and restaurants. The famous Flat Lake Literary festival takes place at Hilton Park in June. There is an 18 hole golf course on the estate as well as lakes offer pike and trout fishing.
