Get a real taste of Carlingford by taking a tour of Carlingford Brewing Company. You’ll find us nestled in a leafy oasis, a Donn Cúailnge gallop from Carlingford; in the heart of the Cooley Peninsula. Carlingford Brewing Company strive to reflect the fine attributes of the wonderful town they represent. They are small, independent and friendly, standing on the shoulders of giants. The history is reflected in the style of beers they produce, with recipes that are centuries old, but taste that is timeless. Like the rich golden grain that was once ground in the 13th century mill, their brewing process is refined, using premium ingredients and processes in honour of the legendary brewmasters. Carlingford Brewing Company, extols the beauty, history and mythology of Carlingford town and the Cooley Peninsula through its delicious craft beer. Tholsel Blonde named after the Tholsel Gate on Main Street is inspired by the great Belgian Blondes. Taaffe’s Red, following the castle of the same name, is a classic Irish red bursting with flavour. King John’s Castle towers over Carlingford and King John’s Stout, in its honour, towers over the milk stouts of this world. Whilst Friary Pale Ale is as interesting as the 14th century Friary ruins, situated in the town centre.
