Celina Muldoon—SIRENS the first exhibition of our Arts Council Ireland supported 2019 Artist-Initiated Projects programme.

SIRENS is the premiere of a series of test events. It introduces the artist's collaboration with writer Sue Rainsford and producer/musician Keith Mannion. Together they are exploring language and sound in response to Muldoon's project Fomorian and for 3 weeks in March Pallas Projects/Studios will become a site of call/response; action/reaction.
Exhibition event: Celina Muldoon will execute two live performances to accompany her exhibition. Thursday 14th March at 7pm & Saturday 30th March at 3.30pm.
Celina Muldoon is an artist based in North West Ireland. Graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art, I.T. Sligo in 2014, with work in their permanent collection. Muldoon completed an MFA in Sculpture from N.C.A.D. in 2016. Her graduate work 'We are in cahoots...You and I' was selected for Mobius (Boston) int. performance festival 2017 and Craw festival Berlin 2018. She has exhibited in TBG&S, The Complex, waveparticle and Celine gallery, Glasgow and Project Arts Centre Dublin. Residencies include MART and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. She has been awarded the Next Generation Bursary award, The Artist in the community scheme award and a residency in Cowhouse studios in partnership with The Mothership Project in November 2018 and the prestigious Temple Bar Gallery and Studio Project Studio Award 2019. Current research projects include a collaborative performance and film culminating in a major exhibition in 2020. Artist-Initiated Projects at Pallas Projects/Studios is an open-submission, annual gallery programme of 10 x 3-week exhibitions taking place between March and November 2019, in the context of a gallery space with a dedicated tradition towards the professional development of artists in a peer-led, supportive environment. This unique programme of funded, artist-initiated projects selected via open call is highly accessible to artists, with a focus on early career, emerging artists and recent graduates. Projects are supplemented with artists' talks, texts, workshops or performances, and gallery visits by colleges and local schools.
