The Cathedral of St John the Baptist is the present cathedral of Limerick City. Construction on the Victorian Gothic-style house of worship began in 1856 and it boasts the highest spire in all of Ireland.
Saint Mary’s Cathedral was founded in 1168 A.D. and stands majestically over the city of Limerick on the banks of the River Shannon.
