Mount Ida Pottery studio and gallery is an exciting venue, which offers a wonderful range of opportunities and experiences for locals and visitors alike. The workshop and gallery is situated just off the main Belfast to Dublin road, 3.5 miles south of Dromore and is clearly signposted. The gallery and shop are open to the public from 9.30 to17.30 Monday to Saturday. On offer in the gallery is a range of hand-built earthenware ceramics and thrown stoneware, created by owner Trevor Woods, his family and friends. Mount Ida Pottery offers a wide range of courses tailored to suit all your needs. So if you have never worked with clay, make a booking and have a go. For the more experienced potters, come back and develop your skills to help you create new and exciting work. In this wonderful and relaxed setting, with beautiful countryside views, you will have days to remember and pieces to admire at the end of your day out. Full day and evening courses are available so why not organise a night out with friends and enjoy that creative experience or bring your child to have their special birthday party? We can organise talks and visits to suit groups up to 15 persons. The cost of the course includes the cost of clay up to 10kg, biscuit firing. This cost also includes a second visit to glaze the work.
