Do you know the way to Vicar Street? You certainly will when this legend of classic R&B takes to its iconic stage.
Do you know the way to Vicar Street? You certainly will when legend of classic R&B Dionne Warwick takes to the venue's iconic stage.
The five-time Grammy Award winner has been making hit records for a whopping five decades, racking up record sales of more than 100 million and charting an incredible 60 songs throughout her career.
An icon in every sense of the word, she became the first African-American solo female artist of her generation to win the prestigious prize for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist Performance, a distinction only ever presented to one other performer, Miss Ella Fitzgerald.
Warwick's very first Grammy was awarded for 1968's Do You Know the Way to San Jose? – a track that is still beloved by millions today – and was followed just two years later by a second award for the infectious track I'll Never Fall in Love Again.
Top songs like I'll Never Love This Way Again, Déjà Vu and Say A Little Prayer only served to cement Dionne's status as one of the most influential female vocalists of her - or any other - generation.
With a new studio album commemorating her 50th anniversary set for release this autumn, she'll be here in Dublin for one night of great music at Vicar Street. Don't miss it.
