Tallaght Choral Society in association with the Belfast Philharmonic Choir are very pleased to invite you to witness what happens when sacred texts meet the shameless world of sporting chants and advertising jingles.
Lux Aeterna is an ethereal non-liturgical Requiem setting by Morten Lauridsen (b. 1943) of Latin texts which include Te Deum, O Nata Lux and Veni, Sancte Spiritus. Set to the bawdy ballads of commercial music, you may be surprised what happens.
Join soprano Emma Morwood, tenor Andrew Gavin, and baritone Christopher Cull alongside organist David Grealy and pianist Gail evans, conducted by Lynsey Callaghan for what is sure to be one of the most unique performances of the year.
