Explorium is ideal for a family day out. An experience where science and sport meet, with over 300 interactive exhibits designed to ignite curiosity in its visitors.
Explorium combines the excitement of the playing field with the analytics of the laboratory to produce these unique exhibits. Conquer your fears in Explorium’s climbing section or venture through one of the world’s longest indoor caving structures. The possibilities are endless.
Explorium’s mission is to inspire curious minds to discover the wonders of science through sport. Try your hand at film making, reinvent the orchestra with laser musical instruments, explore one of the world’s longest indoor caves and test your courage with a leap of faith. And you won’t want to miss Ireland’s first robot waiters and a robot goalie who’s really hard to beat. Explorium is where fun, interaction and discovery come together.
Test your speed, strength and agility at Explorium’s sport science facilities which have the same equipment used by the best soccer teams in the world. Try making spiky crystals out of the magnetic liquid, create whirlpools or twist electricity through incredible interactive weather exhibits. Explorium’s theatre has live science shows and amazing films. The Lightning Room is home to Ireland’s largest Tesla coil, where half a million volts are shot through the room. Sport, science or a combination of both, Explorium has something for everyone.
A sports science centre that stimulates young minds to create the Ireland of tomorrow and ignites them to think, ask and discover.
