Enniscorthy based therefore centrally located in the county, Heritage Tours Wexford will enable your group to experience all that Wexford has to offer. You can choose from one of my many tours on offer.

“The conventional image of Ireland - of luminescent lakes, blue mountains, rock - strewn fields, bogs dark as sachertorte, and peasant cottages coated in generations of whitewash - simply does not hold here. This south-eastern corner of the country is quite distinctive, due partly to topography and partly to the confluence of different ethnic groups and cultures.” So begins the chapter ‘Wexford and the Invasion Route’ in Ireland by Max Caulfield

These opening sentences summed up exactly for me how I had been feeling about Wexford when I first moved to the county. I am Irish. I am from the west of Ireland but I couldn’t put my finger on what it was that made me feel that Wexford was just not like the rest of Ireland. It was not until I read Max’s book that I began to understand why I was feeling this way. The county is just, well different. Steeped in history and beauty it is unique in many ways and waiting to be explored.

Heritage Tours have been conducting tours of Wexford for 7 years. I think the excitement of touring and talking about the county continues and grows for me on a daily basis. On every tour I learn something and hopefully so do my guests. Many of the wonderful historic and interesting places to visit can not be accessed by large buses thats why smaller 14 or 16 seaters are more practical. It makes for a more intimate experience and one which I hope remains with you for a long time.

If you are thinking of visiting why not get in touch. Heritage Tours can discuss, explore and develop a tour to suit you, your group and your time.
