An exhibition of traditional patchwork quilts
An exhibition of traditional patchwork quilts, featuring quilts from the Carrickfergus Museum collection, as well as the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. This colourful exhibition celebrates the traditional art of Ulster quilt-making.
Demonstration and patchwork workshops available;
Demonstration of patchwork skills from Boom! Stitchers. Come and meet the experienced patchwork quilting group from from Boom! Studios and see them creating and making. (Free)

Introduction to sewing skills. Learn some basic sewing skills including hand-sewing and working with a sewing machine.
Saturday 4 August, Ages 8+
Introduction to patchwork quilts. Learn the basics of traditional patchwork with the disappearing 9-patch technique.
Saturday 11 August, Ages 16+ basic sewing skills required
Traditional patchwork techniques. Inspired by the Thrifty Threads Exhibition, learn some of the more traditional skills including the Log Cabin and Lightning Streaks pattern.
