Ideally located in Kilrooskey near Lough Ree on the River Shannon in County Rosscommon, the Kelly family have run Roscommon Equestrian Centre since 2003. It has everything visitors could need for a truly enjoyable riding experience.
Located in County Roscommon near the scenic Lough Ree and at the foot of the impressive Slieve Bawn Mountain sits Roscommon Equestrian Centre. It is a popular destination, with some beautiful trekking and hacking routes in the area.
Roscommon Equestrian Centre’s professional and friendly staff teach lessons to beginners and advanced riders, from children as young as four as well as adults, six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday. They also welcome large groups and schools, and are a popular venue for staff days out. Their ponies and horses come in all shapes and sizes so they’re sure to find one to suit everybody.
Among the many features of the centre are two outdoor arenas and one indoor arena, pony camps for all ages during Easter and summer, lessons for those with special needs, and seasonal show jumping events. Most areas in the centre are wheelchair accessible.
Roscommon Equestrian Centre has a seated viewing area which is also a restaurant and bar serving all types of food, drink, sandwiches, soups, tea/coffee, cakes etc. Other facilities include male and female toilets with changing area, showers, lockers and a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.
