The Balla artist is releasing his latest EP, The Lives of Others.
Balla artist Train Room played his first-ever gig at Dublin's Hard Working Class Heroes Festival last October, wowing audiences with his skilful approach to songwriting and tender, authentic delivery behind the mic as he performed tracks from his debut EP Delicate Bones.
Distinct and genre-blending, Joe Monaghan, who has been recording music for the better part of the past decade, is one to watch. With influences as diverse as Whipping Boy and Neil Young, Kate Bush, Nina Simone and Wilco, it's not hard to see how something so finely crafted as Delicate Bones could issue from such a performer. His efforts have already been lauded by the likes of The Irish Times, who called it a “fine slice of orchestral-imbued indie rock”, and Hot Press, who noted his songs as "powerful".
With new EP The Lives of Others set for release this March, there's no better time to catch this rising star live before he's whisked away to stages far and wide.
