The Ballykilcavan craft brewery is set in a 230 year old stone courtyard at Ballykilcavan farm in the heart of Ireland.
Ballykilcavan has been the home of the Walsh family for 13 generations since 1639. 'It is a mixed tillage and grassland farm with over 400 acres of natural heritage area native oak and ash woodlands. All the barley and all the water that are used to make the beers are sourced from the farm.
The brewery is now open for guided tours on selected weekends and by appointment for groups.
Come and experience the inner workings of a small craft brewery in a beautiful rural setting. You will get to look around the 18th century farmyard and ring the 200 year old bell that summoned the farm labourers into work every morning. You can taste the malts and smell the hops,
and see how the brewers turn those ingredients into their award winning beers. Finally you will get a chance to sample the finished product with a guided tasting of the core range of beers.
