Mr Derek Walsh
Corrib Tackle on the Tuam Road in Galway is a retail shop stocking fishing, shooting and archery requirements which also has an indoor airsoft shooting range and archery range.
Corrib Tackle is home to one of Ireland's first airsoft indoor shooting range is an entertainment facility for individuals, companies, stags, hens and tourists to use. Visitors can hire a selection of airsoft pistols for use on the five professional shooting lanes, one of which is also available for archery.
Airsoft guns fire a 6mm plastic pellet and, in Ireland, are legally limited to a one joule of energy - sufficient only to leave a minor bruise from a range of 10m. Corrib's shooting range is the first opportunity for skilled target practice, and its indoor location makes it appealing for less weather-hardened airsoft fans.
The shooting range is open seven days per week, and can be booked in the evenings for private parties. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The range can be booked by telephone or online at Corrib's new website.
