See what Ireland has in store for you
Originally established in 1750, the wonderfully atmospheric traditional family pub and restaurant Grogan's of Glasson is presided over by hosts Moira and Miriam Grogan. Enter through the small door and be struck by the character and charm of the bar. The cosy front bar is divided in the traditional manner and has a lovely open fire, flag floor, and a mixture of wood and brass furnishings. As you round the corner to the main restaurant, there is another large open fire wide enough to accommodate Santa Claus. The menu is varied and very good value, and specialities include steaks and seafood dishes. Each dish has been imaginatively created, and there are sufficient options to accommodate all tastes. Traditional céili music is played each Friday night by three generations of the same talented family, while wandering musicians are always welcome.
