The IGPS member will retire this summer after 34 years as curator of the gardens at the zoo. While you may picture only animals when you think of a visit to the zoo, its gardens are a marvel in their own right, attracting tours and horticulturalists from around the world. So why not check them out for yourself on this guided stroll through the grounds?

You'll learn all about how much the zoo has changed over the years, and how much the carefully chosen plant life there has evolved in order to have the most positive effect on the species who call Dublin Zoo home. Inspired by wild habitats, Butler has spent his career building landscapes that inspire the health and wellbeing of not just the animals, but the human visitors to the zoo, too.
