Ballytoughey Loom, Beth Moragn, handweaver, trading for the last 15 years and has established an international reputation for her work. Beth's work ranges from very fine silk to home grown, home spun and naturally dyed rugs.
Cottage industry working in handweaving, natural dying and spinning. A wide range of handwoven accessories in natural fibres of silk, wool and cashmere. Also a range of handwoven, naturally dyed and homespun rugs. Much of my work is fine silk and concentrates on intricate patterns. Each piece is unique.
Demonstations on site in season are offered as well as a full schedule of courses in spinning, dying and hand weaving.
Hand weaving and spinning courses:
Weekend and week long course are run during the year. Check website for details of times and dates. At other times courses can be arranged for individual and small groups at times outside those listed and can be tailored to suit the individuals or groups needs in terms of focus and content for the course. This will depend on the availability of the workshop facility at the times chosen.
