See what Ireland has in store for you
In the Elizabethan Court of the sixteenth century, the art of self-promotion was well established. This exhibition is the first complete display of the Gallery’s collection of portraits from this time, featuring politicians, soldiers, royal suitors and adventurers. Step back in time with spectacular clothes and extravagant personas. Portraits include Elizabeth I and her lover Robert Dudley; Sir Walter Ralegh and his wife Lady Ralegh; and the Earl of Ormond. This exhibition is free, but visitors must book a free general admission ticket in advance. Gallery and exhibition opening hours: Monday: 11:00 - 17:30, Tuesday - Saturday: 09:45 - 17:30, Sunday: 11:30 - 17:30
