Limerick Whiskey Experience is located in the heart of Limerick City, in an architecturally prominent building. The building is steeped in whiskey and spirits history, and has a long tradition as blender and bottler of Irish whiskey. It was founded to provide enjoyable visitor experiences, delivered in the comfortable surroundings of Peggy’s Parlour, a private whiskey bar. Visitors can also enjoy the experience of a traditional Irish pub, Mother Macs Public House, while still remaining in the centre of Limerick City.The whiskey collection includes over 100 whiskeys from some of the best in Irish and international producers. Limerick Whiskey Experience places high importance on locally produced whiskeys with whiskey tastings focusing strongly on highlighting the best of local or uniqueness of production. The whiskey collection also includes a number of rare single cask and aged whiskeys. Each tasting begins with a warm welcome and visitors are then brought on a journey of history and flavour. The team are trained in spirits education. Choose from a variety of tours including the Munster Mashup tour, the Cask Effect tour or the Pot Still Delight tour.Limerick Whiskey Experience believe that life is all about experiences and whiskey or 'uisce beatha', the water of life. Learn how local ingredients and traditional production methods impact the flavours of whiskey, but more importantly learn how to sample whiskey for its taste and quality.
