Check out the museum gallery and discover an early medieval brooch rescued from the ashes of a turf fire after being lost in a bog for over 1,000 years. See duelling pistols of the Liberator, Daniel O’Connell and admire the award-winning Tom Crean Exhibition which tells the story of the heroic Annascaul man who was part of Shackleton’s Antarctic crew. Have fun with 'Bone Investigators' an interactive gallery exploring Tralee’s past through the eyes of archaeologists. Children can excavate a replica skeleton and inspect a rotten Viking tooth. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of Tralee in 1450 AD in the Medieval Experience – where history comes to life.
