Monasterboice is an early Christian monastery where you can see an Irish Round Tower and 10th century Celtic High Crosses. Trim Castle is the largest Anglo Norman Castle in Ireland, dating from the 12th century, it was also where much of the Mel Gibson movie Braveheart was filmed. There are Medieval Cistercian Abbeys at Mellifont and Bective. There is so much to see and experience in the Boyne Valley you could spend a number of days touring.
