University Concert Hall, Limerick is a 1,000 seat venue playing host to a variety of live entertainment, concerts, recitals, drama, comedy, dance and grand opera. Many of the world's finest artists have graced the stage of UCH since its opening in 1993 and as a result it has established itself as a major venue for artists touring Ireland, and is also the permanent home of the Irish Chamber Orchestra. Located on the attractive parkland campus of the University of Limerick on the banks of the river Shannon, University Concert Hall offers a spectacular venue for conferences, corporate events, arts, musical and sporting events. The support facilities and services of this modern university together with its spectacular setting ensure that University Concert Hall is the focal point and an imaginative setting for events. The Concert Hall provides a modern raked theatre with 1,000 seats, and is equipped to the highest standard of modern audiovisual facilities. Simultaneous translation booths form part of the hall, and translation is provided by infra red sound loop to European Union specifications. Two adjacent theatres, which together accommodate 370, may be inter-linked audio visually to the main hall and the large atrium area is suitable for poster sessions, trade exhibitions and receptions. Imaginative conference dining and bar facilities are provided by a professional international catering company. The University has a dedicated Conference Management Team. Visitors can enjoy all the amenities of the riverside Conference Park, which includes a sports centre with a 50-metre pool.
