Green Heartlands Cycle Route is a 217 kilometres cycle route in south County Roscommon, stretching from Roscommon town to Athlone, through a series of quiet country roads.
The Suck Valley Visitor Conference Centre stands on the banks of the River Suck in Athleague, County Roscommon. This award winning centre houses a coffee shop, visitor information, craft shop and conference facilities.
Visitors interested in the ecclesiastical heritage of Ireland won’t want to miss the wonderfully restored ruins at Drum, in County Roscommon. The site features a Romanesque abbey, Medieval church and St Brigid's Holy Well.
The River Suck drains Lough O’Flynn, 7km west of the town of Castlerea, County Roscommon, and flows through sweeping meanders and past many little islands to reach the Shannon, a kilometre below Shannonbridge.
