From 11th to 25th October, the Irish Whiskey Museum will showcase whiskey and cheese from the four corners of Ireland. From 20:00 to 22:00 each Friday evening, their master taster will pair a local cheese & whiskey from four areas of Ireland
Ireland is experiencing a whiskey Renaissance alongside an artisan cheese Renaissance so it has never been a better time to enjoy the wide range of super high quality whiskeys and cheeses on offer.
Whiskey and cheese, while wonderful on their own, don’t often come to mind as a go to pairing. That space has been occupied by wine for a long time.
With this is mind, the Irish Whiskey Museum invites you to a Four Corners of Ireland Whiskey and Cheese pairing where you will taste four Irish whiskey (25ml x 4 samples) and cheese combinations from the four provinces of Ireland (Ulster, Munster, Leinster and Connaught).
Independent from the drinks industry, discover the unbiased history of Irish whiskey from their expert guides and learn how differentiate your pot stills from your single malts. Find out what styles of cheese complement the various whiskeys and how the flavours of the cheese bring out the best in the whiskey and vice versa.
Impress you friends at your next dinner party by offering them a glass of whiskey paired with a select artisan cheese as an inspired finale to their meal.
This event is part of Taste the Island.
