Situated in beautiful countryside, close to picturesque woods and steeped in history and folklore, Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian and Trekking Centre in Ravensdale, County Louth enjoys an idyllic location against a backdrop of the Cooley Mountains.
Ideally located close to the national forestry award winning Ravensdale Forest, near Dundalk, County Louth, Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian and Trekking Centre is in an area of breathtaking beauty. Lying in the shadow of the Cooley Mountains and with wide open spaces that are a horse rider’s dream, the lodge is proud to offer riders lessons, trekking, hacking, cross country and much more.
The signature trek to the Medieval town of Carlingford comes highly recommended. Included is a gourmet picnic to keep riders happy as the fresh air is great for working up an appetite.
The refurbished slate, stone and brick buildings have been tastefully converted into stables with associated facilities. Married with ultra modern, state of the art indoor and outdoor arenas and world class equestrian facilities the centre, has been designed with the safety and comfort of both horse and handler in mind. The qualified, friendly staff and team of wonderful, good natured Irish ponies, cobs and horses will ensure that riders enjoy their time on horseback from the minute they arrive.
Whether visitors stay with for an hour or overnight, they will experience the same excellent service and attention to detail they extend to all their guests.
The centre features a spacious, ultra modern, indoor arena with warm up area, floodlit outdoor sand arena, three all weather grass arenas, a cross country course, ample car, coach and horse box parking, coffee shop and catering area, restaurant, meeting rooms and office showers, toilet and changing facilities.
