Stone Row Artisans is a collective of talented designer-makers and artisans from the Causeway Coast. They are based in their shop at 2-6 Stone Row in Coleraine, currently home to 10 resident artists as well as stocking work from an additional 60 artists and artisanal producers from across Northern Ireland. The resident artists include: former archaeologist Emma Thorpe from Atlantic Rose, who uses the ancient techniques of chainmail and Viking knitting, alongside sand casting and hand forging, to produce beautiful and unique pieces of jewellery. Jennifer Mc Cullagh is Upainted, a furniture artist based in the beautiful North west of Ireland, transforming old, tired or ‘brown’ furniture into things of beauty, all of her ready to buy furniture has been re-imagined to fit into the modern home. Already have a sentimental piece that belonged to your grandparents, a quirky piece picked up in a charity shop, or something tired and in need of a face lift? Jennifer can transform it into something wonderful. Claire McDowell from Bad Bird is a wildlife artist who produces finely detailed illustrations and sculptures created from Merino, Lancashire and Shetland, polymer clay and resin, incorporating salvaged and vintage items. Siobhan Corr is Celtic Irish Art, a designer and maker working in leather to create beautiful, soft handbags, purses, dog collars, jewellery and other leather accessories. Inspired by Celtic designs and The Book of Kells, Siobhan has a zero waste policy, using remnant leather, tweed and linen that would otherwise go to waste. Janice Dorrans is Burnside Crafts. Having grown up in the beautiful Northern Irish country side, and always surrounded by her beloved horses and wildlife, Janice creates stunning horse, donkey, fox and hare sculptures from wire and Papier Mache in her converted barn studio. Laura Adams is North Coast Maid, a passionate creator woven with the allure of the ocean. North Coast Maid specialises in hand stamped jewellery, keyrings and keepsakes, and organic cotton tee shirts hoodies and bags. Each piece carries the essence of the coastal breeze and the rhythmic waves. Ocean inspired treasures that speak to the heart. Deborah Boyle is Re-Jean-erate. Deborah recycles old jeans and denim that would other wise go to land fill, into stunning bags, rucksacks and accessories. Deborah makes sure that every item is both eco friendly and gorgeous, decorating with beautiful embroidery and linings, straps and embellishments. Bunty Boutique sells sustainable fashion, shoes and accessories. Curated vintage and pre-owned designer and high street brands - saving the planet one frock at a time. Tonia Kennedy from Clearly Creative is a born & bred local woman with a passion for fused glass and the local countryside. Tonia has lived in various places throughout her career but has always returned to the causeway coast. With a love of bright colours and a real talent for working with this fragile material Tonia often makes bright and fun pieces as well as the more muted tones of beach and rocky scenery. Finally, Heather McFarlane of Purple Heather, designs and makes beautiful lampshades, soft furnishings and upholstered items using a wide range of eyecatching and unusual fabrics.
