Originally from Dublin, Oisín Leech and Mark McCausland are The Lost Brothers. These musical – if not blood – siblings met in Liverpool in 2007 after their old bands, The 747s and The Basement, had slipped into obscurity.

Originally from Dublin, Oisín Leech and Mark McCausland are The Lost Brothers. These musical – if not blood – siblings met in Liverpool in 2007 after their old bands, The 747s and The Basement, had slipped into obscurity.

The past decade has seen them produce five full-length albums, the latest of which, Halfway Towards a Healing was released at the start of this year to widespread positive reviews.

The band is heavily influenced by Americana with elements of classic folk, country, rock’n’roll, blues, and indie all permeating their sound. Indeed their most recent record was recorded in Arizona, with Howe Gelb of cult American indie band Giant Sand.

The band’s popularity shows little sign of abating either. Having sold out The Sugar Club last year, they have moved on up to the salubrious, all-seater Liberty Hall Theatre for what will likely be an very special and celebratory night.
