Blarney, Cork, Cork,
Mr Duncan Blair
Located only five minutes from Blarney on the R579, with its whitewashed walls and abundance of hanging baskets, Blair’s Inn looks as pretty as a picture. Widely known for good food and all day dining.
Blair’s Inn occupies a secluded, riverside setting in the heart of the country and is an outstanding example of an authentic, traditional, family run pub.
Your hosts are The Blairs, a warm and friendly family who extend a sincere welcome to newcomers and regulars alike. In season, real coal fires flicker on the wooden interior of the lounge bars and candlelit snug and pantry restaurant.
Anyone visiting for the first time will understand why Blair’s Inn has been showered with awards and rave reviews. Interesting combinations are the distinctive style of their menus. Quality Kenmare seafood and Cork farm produce provide the foundations of their much talked about food that is enjoyed in the lounge, bar and restaurant. The Blair’s specialise in quality, freshly prepared, locally sourced food, served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Blair’s Inn is the ideal venue for a romantic meal or get-together with friends. The cuisine is traditional Irish with a modern European flavour and the menus feature many traditional Irish dishes.
All day dining is a feature, with extensive menus available without interruption from 12.30 pm to 9.30pm. Lunch is served daily from 12.30pm to 4pm and the classic evening bar menu is available from 4pm to 9.30pm. A full a la carte dinner menu is served in the candlelit restaurant from 6pm. Weather permitting, you may dine outside in the peaceful garden bounded by the Owenageara, the Sheep River, where in summer, trout can be seen to rise. The garden and patio are an ideal venue for barbecues, which can be booked throughout the summer.
Every Monday night at 8.30pm from May to September Blair’s Inn is the venue for a lively traditional Irish music session, which is attended by locals and visitors from all over the world.
