This free, public tour of the museum’s extensive collection was put together to commemorate one of the most momentous events in Irish history. As you walk into the Decorative Arts & History building of The National Museum of Ireland, you’ll be confronted with the physical reality of Ireland’s 1916 rebellion.

See the specially conserved Irish Republican flag which was flown above the GPO up close on this tour and immerse yourself in the stories of those directly involved, and those caught up, in the pivotal events which saw Ireland proclaim its independence.
