Redburn Country Park is set on an escarpment overlooking Belfast Lough.
Redburn Country Park is set on a beautiful escarpment above Belfast Lough. There are 7km of pathways and energetic visitors who are able to climb to the top will be rewarded with spectacular, breath-taking and panoramic views of Belfast and the south Antrim hills.
When visitors come and experience this picturesque park, they will definitely be guaranteed of pleasant walks during all seasons of the year. However, during springtime they may get the chance to be able to see the magnificent woodland carpet of bluebells, wood sorrel and anemones.
The woods are also home to a huge variety of birds such as tits and finches. During summertime, willow warblers and blackcaps are often found in the scrub and gorse at the top of the hill. In the open glades, rabbits are regularly spotted around and, if visitors are lucky they may be able to catch a glimpse of the park’s shyest and rarest resident, the Red Squirrel.
