An elegant Georgian mansion and the home of the annual Percy French Summer School, Castlecoote House is located in County Roscommon. It is set in a rich pastoral woodland area and bounded by the River Suck.
Castlecoote House is an elegant Georgian mansion found in County Roscommon. It is set in a rich pastoral woodland area, bounded on three sides by the beautiful River Suck. It also is home to the annual Percy French Summer School.
Castlecoote House has been lovingly restored by some of Ireland’s finest craftsmen and today includes such features as fine plasterwork ceilings and marble fireplaces. Outside there are beautifully landscaped grounds. Visitors can take a stroll along by the river savouring the tranquillity, or perambulate through the orchard enjoying the rare apple trees, castle ruins and mill race walls.
Guided tours are available by appointment and during opening months.
