Situated overlooking Dingle Bay midway between Glenbeigh and Cahirciveen, Caitin's pub is a traditional old-style pub that has been run by the Golden family for over a hundred years.

Caitin's is supposed to be one of the first legalised 'shebeens' in Ireland. Steeped in history and folklore, the pub has been patronised by some of Ireland's most famous statesmen, such as Daniel O'Connell and the literary great Brendan Behan. O'Connell's visits were legendary. It's known that on his many journeys he stopped here to change horses and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and wholesome food.

The pub has evolved over the centuries from a two-room 'shebeen' to one of the most famous stopping-points on the Ring of Kerry. Today it continues to provide you with the best of food, drink and entertainment, all served at this unique old-world setting.

Caitin's is located beside the impressive old GSWR railway viaduct. It has among its many attractions a splendid collection of photographic memorabilia, which depicts the local area from the early 1800s.

A visit to Caitin's pub is a must for:

* The finest of drink
* Traditional entertainment
* Some of the finest views on the Ring of Kerry

Caitin's pub is available for weddings, parties and gatherings no matter what the occasion. Everyone is welcome, whether on business or on holiday; on your own or as a group.
