If you are looking for somewhere special to host that perfect evening, be it celebrating with friends, entertaining clients, or simply a romantic dinner for two, An Tintáin offers you the perfect place to dine in a calm, comfortable atmosphere.
Allow a roulade of fresh Irish salmon studded with prawns on a mustard seed dressing to tickle your taste buds, coq au van braised corn fed chicken in a red wine, mushroom shallot and tarragon just for the main course and for desert raspberries trapped in citrus and mango cheesecake with a lattice of mixed Belguim chocolate to name but a few. The goal of our restaurant is to provide guests with rural Ireland's renowned hospitality, a high standard of quality Irish food, where the emphasis is on fresh seafood and good quality Irish beef.
Local attractions include the Franciscan friary within the village, a beautiful church and gardens with outdoor statues of the Stations of the Cross originally built in 1827. Lough Derravaragh lies to the east of the village, which is the setting for one of the most famous and endearing Irish folklore stories ever, The Children of Lir.
An Tintáin offers an early bird menu and full a la carte menu all at very reasonable prices, as well as being wheelchair friendly and child friendly. We are not open Mondays and Tuesdays.
