The Motte Restaurant is a cosy restaurant with a unique ambiance situated in the popular picturesque village of Inistioge in County Kilkenny. Fresh linen on the tables, soft red lantern candles and a fire burning in the Kilkenny marble fireplace all add to an idyllic atmosphere to experience chef Rodney Doyles modern Irish cooking, including The Motte Starter Tasting Plate, a choice of main courses and The Motte Dessert Tasting Plate. Rodney Doyle has been a member of Euro-Toques since 1992. He opened his first restaurant, Rodney's Bistro, in Cabinteely in 1995. He moved to south Kilkenny in 2004 and is Chef/Proprietor of The Motte Restaurant. He has competed in national and international culinary competitions, achieving many awards and was a member of the award winning Irish team in London's Hotelympia. He has been nominated for 'Best Chef in County' award in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2010.
