Award winning architecture has transformed this old Quaker meeting house into a complex which includes two cinemas, a bookshop, and a bar come restaurant which are all planned around a glass covered courtyard.

Inside the Irish Film Institute, Temple Bar, is an island of silence, insulated from traffic, Luas, klaxon horns and Darts. A platform surrounded with seating for up to 260. All the necessary technology to project a new idea, launch a product, host a private meeting or entertainment event. Both IFI cinemas are natural arenas, focusing the attention of your audience on the message. Host a private screening and party for your employees. Space to entertain surrounds the auditorium. The 17th Century Quaker Meeting House was converted through an award-winning design by architects O’Donnell and Tuomey. Arranged around a glass-roofed courtyard, the complex includes two cinemas, a very popular bar and restaurant and an outdoor beer garden which is smoker-friendly. The IFI is home to a world of movies, public talks, corporate and private special events, film festivals and premieres, community gatherings and more. We are especially good at hosting launches. We provide an unusual venue with a screen that can be used as a virtual stage. The IFI also has a smaller meeting room available for more informal events.
