McAlpins Suir Inn Cheekpoint - Seafood a speciality, evening meals are served from 6pm. Situated in the picturesque village of Cheekpoint in the south east of Ireland, downriver from the historic viking city of Waterford.
McAlpin's Suir Inn Cheekpoint has been in the ownership of the McAlpin family since 1971. The Inn itself goes back a lot further than that as it was built in the 17th Century and has been an Inn for almost 300 years.
Seasonal menus offer a choice of about six starters (mostly seafood) and ten main courses, including several cold dishes and two vegetarian ones, again all moderately priced - specialities include a generous and reasonably priced seafood platter and home-made seafood pie.
All meals come with brown soda bread and butter, and a side salad - and a nice little wine list includes a choice of eight moderately priced wines.
